The Covid-19 has killed more than 600,000 people and infected more than 14.5 million people around the world, according to an assessment carried out by Agence France-Presse (AFP) from official sources, Monday July 20.

The pandemic, which affects 196 countries and territories, continues to spread or is resuming in very many countries.

The death toll from Covid-19 has doubled in just over two months. More than 100,000 new deaths have been recorded in twenty-one days since June 28.

Officially, the United States is the most bereaved country, with 140,922 dead, ahead of Brazil (80,120), the United Kingdom (45,300), Mexico (39,184) and Italy (35,045).
